Born and raised in Melbourne, Australia, Sullivan Stapleton has been working in the industry for more than a decade. Stapleton received international recognition in 2010 for his role in "Animal Kingdom." Other film credits include "Gangster Squad," "Kill Me Three Times," "Cut Snake," "The Hunter" and "December Boys."
Stapleton is perhaps best known for playing the lead role of Themistokles in "300: Rise of an Empire," the second film in Zack Snyder's "300" franchise. He also stars on the Cinemax TV series "Strike Back," which is now in its final season.
Next summer, Stapleton will play the lead role in the Luc Besson-directed feature "The Lake." The story follows a group of Navy SEALs attempting to uncover an immense treasure hidden in a lake in war-torn Serbia.
