Ashley Johnson is an American actress who plays the role of Patterson on NBC's Blindspot.
Early Life[]
Ashley was born in Camarillo, CA on August 9, 1983. When Ashley was 9 days old, her family moved to Michigan and she spent most of her growing years in Franklin. She has an older brother Chris who works on the CBS series The District (2000), and older sister Haylie Johnson who is also an actress and her mother Nancy Johnson who is an independent film director. Ashley's grandmother was the famous concert pianist Evelyn Taft and Ashley herself is quite musical, playing several instruments including piano, violin, guitar, and cello.
Before Ashley was even 21 years old, she had already been cast in 8 different TV series.
Career[]
Joss Whedon cast Ashley in "Much Ado About Nothing" after witnessing her small but pivotal role as a New York waitress whose fate hinges on whether or not Captain America (Chris Evans) can save her in Marvel's "The Avengers".
Ashley performed in the Oscar-nominated film "The Help," starring alongside Octavia Spencer, Emma Stone, Viola Davis and Jessica Chastain. She also recurred on AMC's series "The Killing" and is a main cast member on "Critical Role".
Ashley also portrayed Ellie, the deuteragonist in the critically acclaimed video game "The Last of Us", providing both motion capture and voice acting. Ashley reprises her role as Ellie in the upcoming sequel “The Last Of Us: Part II”.
